6.PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Any member of the public may speak to any issue that is not agendized for public hearing at this meeting. Speakers will be limited to three minutes during this item and at public hearings. There will be a thirty (30) minute aggregate time limit for this item. Any member of the public wishing to comment publicly on any matter, including on items on the agenda, may submit their comments by email to cityclerk@tamarac.org. All comments submitted by email, that if read orally, are three minutes or less shall be read into the record. All comments submitted by email shall be made part of the public record. Public comments may also be submitted online, during the meeting, through Facebook Live. Members of the public may also register online at https://www.tamarac.org/signup. Individuals who register will be contacted by telephone at the appropriate time during the meeting to offer their public comments.

When an issue has been designated as quasi-judicial, public remarks shall only be heard during a quasi-judicial hearing that has been properly noticed for that matter.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF TIME ALLOCATIONS-MOTIONS TO TABLE

The Chair at this time will announce those items that have been given a specific time to be heard, and will entertain motions from the Commission members to table those items that require research. The Commission may agendize by majority consent matters of an urgent nature which have come to the Commission's attention after publication.

b.TR 13417 - Replacement of water valve at the intersection of W McNab Road and NW 80th Ave
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, approving the piggy-back of an Agreement with GT General Contractors, LLC, utilizing pricing from an Agreement obtained through a formal competitive process by the City of Coral Springs, Florida (Bid No. 19-B-063F) valid to August 20, 2021 and any subsequent renewal options may be extended by any renewal options as approved by the City of Coral Springs; authorizing an expenditure for the contract amount of $99,726.00, a contingency in the amount of $29,917.80 will be added to the project account for a total project budget of $129,643.80, to replace a 24-inch water valve; authorizing additional expenditures not to exceed the annual budgeted amount for additional work within the scope of this contract for budgeted water distribution system upgrades; authorizing an expenditure from the appropriate accounts; authorizing the appropriate City Officials to administer the contract; authorizing the appropriate City Officials to execute contract renewals; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.
c.TR 13406 - Approve Design of Buffer Wall Phase VI
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, approving execution of Task Authorization No. 20-13D with Stantec Consulting Services Inc. to provide Professional Engineering Services for the Design and Permitting of the Citywide Buffer Wall Project Phase VI (Prospect Road), which is generally located on the  north side of Prospect Road from 250’ west of NW 15th Avenue to 50’ west of NW 19th Way, in accordance with the City’s Continuing Service Agreement as authorized by Resolution R-2016-80; authorizing an expenditure for said purpose in an amount not to exceed $89,439.00; providing for conflict; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.

e.TR 13423 Amendment to Additional Three-Cent Local Option Gas Tax Agreement

A Resolution of The City Commission of The City Of Tamarac, Florida approving the 2020 Amendment to interlocal agreement between Broward County and City Of Tamarac providing for division and distribution of the proceeds from The Broward County Additional Three-Cent Local Option Gas Tax On Motor Fuel Ordinance; authorizing the appropriate city officials to execute the 2020 Amendment to interlocal agreement; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.

h.TR 13426 - Denouncing White Supremacy

A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, condemning and denouncing white supremacy, bias and hate in all of its forms; committing to ensuring civil and human rights are afforded to all individuals in the City of Tamarac; and reaffirming Tamarac’s commitment to peace, respect, inclusivity, and equity for all; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.

i.TR 13427 –Lease-end Buyout With Lenovo Financial Services

A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, authorizing the appropriate City Officials to exercise the buyout option  of the three year lease agreement with Lenovo Financial Services expiring in May 2020 and purchase the two hundred and twenty-two (222) desktops and laptops for a total cost of $78,559.24  providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.

a.Discussion and motion appointing members of the City Commission to the Broward League of Cities

The Broward League of Cities is requesting the list of annual appointments for Director, First Alternate and Second Alternate to its Board of Directors.

The City Commission may consider and act upon such other business as may come before it. In the event this agenda must be revised, such revised copies will be available to the public at the City Commission meeting.
