SO WE'RE ADDING FOUR NONPROFIT NONPROFITS TO THE CITY'S CHARITABLE ENTITIES LIST, AND THAT'S DONE BY A RESOLUTION. AND THEN THE NEXT ONE, 5.C, IS THE CITY'S VIDEO EQUIPMENT FOR SEWER LINES. MUSTAFA, DO YOU WANT TO TELL US JUST A LITTLE ABOUT THAT? SURE. SO THIS IS THE VIDEO VAN THAT TELEVISED ALL THE SEWER LINES WITHIN THE CITY. THE CITY HAVE BEEN WE HAD SOME ISSUES OR HAVE BEEN ISSUES WITH WITH THIS PARTICULAR EQUIPMENT VAN. SO WE HAD BUDGETED AND ALLOCATED AMOUNT OF MONEY IN THERE TO REPLACE ALL THE EQUIPMENTS FOR THIS PARTICULAR VAN. SO WE'RE NOT REPLACING THE ACTUAL VEHICLE, BUT WE'RE REPLACING THE BACKBONE OF THE VEHICLE CONTENTS. THE CONTENTS, WHICH IS THE CAMERAS, THE GENERATOR AND THINGS LIKE THAT. OKAY. THANK YOU FOR THAT. AND THEN THE NEXT ONE IS IS AN ENGINEERING CONTRACT TO INSTALL OR TO DESIGN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ALONG COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD FOR HOLIDAY DECORATIONS. CORRECT. THERE WAS A DESIRE FOR I BELIEVE IN 2022, IN THE COMMISSION STRATEGIC PLANNING TO HAVE HOLIDAY LIGHTS THROUGHOUT COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD. AND SO THIS IS KIND OF A DESIGN AND PERMITTING PHASE WHERE WE NEED TO DESIGN AND GET A PERMIT THROUGH DOT AND DIFFERENT AGENCIES TO RUN POWER LINES AND ELECTRIC LINES AND HAVE OUTLETS IN THE MEDIANS THROUGHOUT COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD. THOSE LOCATIONS HAVE BEEN VETTED WITH PARKS AND RECS TO, YOU KNOW, TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE THOSE ARE THE RIGHT LOCATIONS TO INSTALL HOLIDAY LIGHTS IN THE FUTURE. SO WHEN YOU SAY THROUGHOUT COMMERCIAL, YOU MEAN EAST OF UNIVERSITY OR. OKAY, BECAUSE WE SHARE WEST OF UNIVERSITY WITH OTHER CITIES. CORRECT. IT'S A LITTLE BIT MORE CHALLENGING. CORRECT. OKAY. HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE? DESIGN IS NOT, WON'T TAKE LONG. IT'S THE PERMITTING PHASE AND THE FEASIBILITY STUDY. BECAUSE COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD IS A 45 MILE PER HOUR ROAD, AND IT'S A HIGH, INTENSE ROAD. SO DOT MAY NOT ALLOW US TO PUT HOLIDAY LIGHTS IN CERTAIN LOCATIONS AS TERMINAL MOVEMENTS BECAUSE THOSE ARE CONSIDERED TO BE DISTRACTIONS TO DRIVERS. RIGHT. SO THAT IS, I THINK, THE BIGGEST PART OF THIS STUDY AND MAKE SURE THE LOCATIONS ARE ACCURATE ARE VETTED THROUGH DOT. THIS IS THE PERMITTING PHASE IS THE CHALLENGING. SO WE EXPECT IT WILL MAY TAKE 90 TO 100 20 TO 120 DAYS TO GET IT, JUST THE PERMITS. SO OUR GOAL IS TO GET THIS OUT BY SEPTEMBER ISH. SO WE'LL BE READY FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON OUT AS OF AS OF CONSTRUCTION. SO WE'LL BE READY FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON. BUT THAT'S THAT'S A KIND OF WORKING TARGET. SO THE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS THEY DESIGNED BASED ON FDOT FEEDBACK ON LOCATIONS AND IN TERMS OF PERMITTING THOSE ARE APPLIED ONCE THE CONTRACTOR IS IDENTIFIED OR. NO. SO THIS IS THIS IS MORE OF A DESIGN PERMIT, SO TO SPEAK, SO TO MAKE SURE THAT THE, THE ACTUAL WHEN THE CONTRACT COMES IN, THERE'S NO CHANGES, THERE'S NO ISSUES FROM DOT. SO THIS IS MORE OF A PERMIT IN THE DESIGN PHASE. SO THE DEPTH OF THE CABLE, THE LOCATION, THE CABLE, THE HEIGHT OF THE OUTLETS, THINGS LIKE THAT, [00:05:03] ALL THAT GETS VETTED THROUGH THE DESIGN PERMITTING PHASE, SO TO SPEAK. SO WHEN THE DRAWINGS ARE DONE, WE GIVE IT TO A CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR WILL HAVE TO STILL PULL CONSTRUCTION PERMIT, BUT USUALLY THAT'S MUCH FASTER ONCE THE IT HAS BEEN PERMITTED THROUGH THE DESIGN PHASE. OKAY. SOUNDS GOOD. THANK YOU. AND THEN 5.E IS A, IS AN AGREEMENT WITH THE WITH THE STATE FOR A $375,000 GRANT TO TO ASSIST WITH THE CITY'S WASTEWATER LIFT STATION INFRASTRUCTURE. SO HOW MANY LIFT STATIONS WOULD THIS HELP WITH? SO THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT IS TWO LIFT STATIONS. THE TWO LIFT STATIONS CONSTRUCTION AMOUNT IS ABOUT $1 MILLION. HAS BEEN, THE MONEY HAS BEEN ALLOCATED FOR US IN THERE. SO THE BID OPENING IS THE END OF NEXT WEEK. OKAY. SO IT WILL BE SORT OF ACCEPTING THIS GRANT AND WILL BE AWARDING THE CONTRACT TO THE CONTRACTOR. SOUNDS GOOD. SO IT'S VERY TIMELY, CORRECT. AND THEN, MUSTAFA, IT'S YOURS AGAIN. 5.F YOU'RE BUYING A BIG PIECE OF TRUCK. YES. THIS IS A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE. IT'S A VAC TRUCK FOR OUR WASTEWATER DIVISION. IT WAS LAST PURCHASED IN 2020, 2014. SO IT IS IN THAT TIME FRAME WHERE THE BALANCE BETWEEN THE AGE OF THE EQUIPMENT, THE MILEAGE AND THE MAINTENANCE COST. SO IT'S DUE FOR REPLACEMENTS. WE ARE STILL LOOKING INTO EITHER RESELLING THIS OLD EQUIPMENT OR PERHAPS TRADE IT IN. SO WE ARE SEEMS LIKE THIS IS ONE OF THE AVENUES WHERE WE'LL BE ABLE TO TRADE IT IN AND GET A BETTER VALUE. CAN YOU TELL US YOU KNOW, SO THAT IT'S IT'S IT'S KNOWN. HOW DO WE USE THIS TRUCK? HOW DOES IT HELP WITH THE WITH THE HEALTH OF OUR INFRASTRUCTURE? SO ALL THE ALL THE RESPONSES THAT WE HAVE WHEN WE HAVE A BREAK IN THE SEWER LINES, THOSE ARE THE TRUCKS THAT GO OUT WITH HAS A LONG HOSE AND AND A VACUUM. A STRONG VACUUM. SO IT SUCKS ANYTHING. AND NEXT ONE, 5.G IS, HAS BEEN IN THE BOOKS FOR, FOR QUITE SOME TIME, BUT WE HAVEN'T WE HAVEN'T ATTEMPTED IT SO FAR, THIS IS THE REPLACEMENT OF PORTION OF THE ROOF AT THE. CORRECT. THIS IS THE FLAT DECK. COMMUNITY CENTER. CORRECT. THIS IS THE FLAT DECK AT TAMARAC COMMUNITY CENTER. WE ARE, THIS IS A PIGGYBACK CONTRACT THROUGH PSI. THEY HAVE A CONTRACT WITH MUNICIPALITY, SO WE'RE PIGGYBACKING ON THAT ONE AND USING IT AS A SOURCE CONTRACT. I SHOULD SAY NOT MUNICIPALITY. OKAY. AND THEN KEEP GOING WITH THE NEXT ONE 5.HM [LAUGHS] IT'S THE. I THINK I HAVE THE ENTIRE CONSENT AGENDA CONTRACT. THE NEXT ONE IS THE OUR BUFFER WALL PROJECT. THIS IS THE NEW LOCATION WE HAVE. IT'S BEEN IN THE WORKS FOR QUITE SOME TIME. BETWEEN THIS IS JUST SOUTH OF SOUTH GATE ON NOB HILL ROAD. SO THAT LITTLE PRESTIGE COMMONS AREA WHERE IT HAS BEEN IN THE BUDGET FOR QUITE SOME TIME, THEY GAVE US ALL EASEMENTS, ALL REQUIREMENTS, ALL THAT DOCUMENTATION. WE DID THE RFP OUT, AND THEN THE SELECTION COMMITTEE HAD SELECTED THE CONTRACTOR AND AND BASICALLY THE WALL WILL LOOK THE SAME AS WHAT WE HAVE CONSTRUCTED IN THE PAST. RIGHT. AND WHAT'S THAT? KEEP GOING. 5.I IS THE SLUDGE REMOVAL CONTRACT. THIS IS A CONTRACT FOR THE SLUDGE REMOVAL. THIS IS A PIGGYBACK CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF SUNRISE. IT'S A TWO YEAR CONTRACT THAT THE CITY OF SUNRISE HAVE EXECUTED WITH THE CONTRACTOR. SO WE'RE JUST UTILIZING THEIR COMPETITIVE BID PROCESS TO, AND THE PRICE SEEMS TO BE VERY COMPETITIVE, SO WE FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE MOVING FORWARD WITH THIS. SO THAT'S THE END OF MUSTAFA'S PRESENTATION, BUT [LAUGHS] I JUST WANT TO TAKE TWO SECONDS AND RECOGNIZE MUSTAFA FOR EVERYTHING THAT HE'S DONE FOR THE FOR THE CITY, IT'S BEEN A GOOD UPWARD CAREER IN TAMARAC. YOU'RE LEAVING ON TOP. AND IT'S BEEN TRULY GREAT TO HAVE YOU, MUSTAFA. YOU'RE, YOU'RE YOU'RE YOUR YOUR SHOES ARE GOING TO BE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO FILL, IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE. [Items 7.a & 7.b] WE HAVE 7.A IS THE FIRST READING ON THE LAND USE PLAN AMENDMENT. THAT'S FOR THE TAMARAC EAST SIDE COMMUNITY CENTER. IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO SAY ABOUT THAT? MAXINE, THAT ONE AND THE NEXT ONE. THE ZONING CHANGE? ABSOLUTELY. MR. MANAGER, YOU ARE CORRECT. THAT ITEM 7.A AND 7.B ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACQUISITION OF THE SHAKER VILLAGE SITE, WHICH WILL BECOME OUR NEW EAST SIDE COMMUNITY PARK. AS YOU KNOW, THE CITY DID RECEIVE FROM THE FLORIDA COMMUNITIES TRUST A GRANT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE PROPERTY AND THE CITY DID SUCCESSFULLY ACQUIRE THE PROPERTY AS A PART OF THE COMPLIANCE OF THAT GRANT. THE GRANT AGENCY HAS ASKED THE CITY TO REZONE AND TO CHANGE THE LAND USE ON THAT PROPERTY TO RECREATION, RC LAND USE AMENDMENT AND RC REZONING AND THAT THAT NEEDED TO BE EFFECTUATED AND SUBMITTED TO THEM BY THE END OF THE MONTH. AND SO THAT'S WHAT ITEM SEVEN A DOES. IT'S A LAND USE AMENDMENT, CHANGING THE LAND USE TO RECREATION. AND SEVEN B IS THE ZONING CHANGE IN THE ZONING DISTRICT TO RECREATION AS WELL. GREAT.
