BOTH HELENE AND MILTON WERE WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF EACH OTHER, SO THAT WAS A VERY BUSY TIME FOR US AS WE WERE RESTORING OUR RESIDENTS AND GETTING EVERYBODY BACK TO NORMAL. FOR OUR RESTORATION EFFORTS, WE HAD 20,000 PEOPLE WHO CAME TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO WHO WERE DEPLOYED TO HELP US WITH OUR RESTORATION OF, YOU KNOW, POST STORM. WE WERE ABLE TO RESTORE POST HELENE THREE DAYS AND THEN WITH MILTON, WITH SOME OTHER CHALLENGES, HAVING JUST BEEN THROUGH A PREVIOUS HURRICANE. IT TOOK US ABOUT FIVE DAYS TO HAVE EVERYBODY BACK UP ON POWER. AND BESIDES, WHAT WE DO FOR OUR CUSTOMERS, WE ALSO PROVIDE THIS SAME RESTORATION EFFORTS OUTSIDE OF OUR TERRITORY, ACROSS FLORIDA AND ACROSS THE COUNTRY. SO, YOU KNOW, WE WENT WE'VE BEEN TO TEXAS, LOUISIANA, GEORGIA TO HELP WITH THEIR RESTORATION EFFORTS WHEN THEY WERE IMPACTED BY STORM. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN OUR FOLKS ARE OTHER UTILITIES ARE IMPACTED, WE GET OUR FOLKS RESTORED, AND THEN WE GO AND WE HELP THEM GET THEIR THEIR OTHER RESIDENCE BACK UP IN SERVICE. WE ALSO ALLOCATED SOME FUNDS THROUGH THE ARPA PROGRAM, AS YOU RECALL, WHERE WE PARTNERED WITH A HOMELESSNESS ORGANIZATION IN BROWARD COUNTY WHERE THE CITY DOES HAVE SOME BEDS. AND WE CONTINUE TO UTILIZE THAT WHEN THERE ARE INSTANCES WHERE WE DO HAVE HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS ON THE STREET. WE DO PARTNER WITH VSO. AND WHEN THOSE INDIVIDUALS ARE OKAY WITH BEING RELOCATED, WE DO TAKE THEM TO OUR PARTNERS, TO ONE OF OUR BEDS. OKAY. I YOU TOUCHED ON THIS IN THE PRESENTATION, BUT I'D LIKE TO HEAR MORE ON HOW THE CITY OF TAMARAC CONSOLIDATED PLAN ALIGNED WITH THE COMMUNITY'S VISION FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, AND WHAT SPECIFIC PRIORITIES HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED FOR FOR HUD FUNDING ALLOCATION? YEAH, SO THE PRIORITIES ARE LISTED IN TERMS AND IT'S CONSISTENT WITH THE LAST FIVE YEAR PLAN. SO THIS IS A NECESSARY REQUIREMENT IN ORDER TO GET FUNDING. THE PRIORITIES WERE THE SAME LAST YEAR THE LAST FOUR PRIORITIES I SHARED. AND THEY'RE THE SAME AGAIN THIS YEAR AS IT RELATES TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING, WHICH IS A TOP PRIORITY. THE CITY DOES HAVE THROUGH CDBG AND HOME. WE HAVE THE MINOR HOME REPAIR PROGRAM, WHICH REMAINS TO BE A POPULAR PROGRAM AND A NEED OF THE COMMUNITY GIVEN THE FACT THAT THIS THE CITY IS AN OLDER COMMUNITY WITH AN OLDER HOUSING STOCK. SO THAT CONTINUES TO BE SOMETHING THAT WE FUND. THAT'S A VERY ROBUST PROGRAM. THAT'S A VERY POPULAR PROGRAM. AND IN FACT, THE PROGRAM IS EXPECTED TO OPEN AGAIN AUGUST 18TH OF THIS YEAR. I SEE THAT WE HAD 83 RESPONSES. HOW WILL THE CITY OF TAMARAC ENGAGE WITH STAKEHOLDERS, INCLUDING RESIDENTS, BUSINESSES, AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, IN THE FUTURE?
