THIS PROPERTY IS ADJACENT TO THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT, AND THE CITY PURCHASED THE PROPERTY WITH INTENT TO FURTHER DEVELOP THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT FACILITIES.

SO, AS YOU KNOW, THE PROPERTY IS LOCATED AT 6150 NORTHWEST 77 WAY.

AND IT'S TO THE NORTHEAST OF THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT.

SO WE ARE REQUESTING A REZONING FROM A MIXED USE NEIGHBORHOOD TO PUBLIC FACILITIES.

SO I CAN MENTION THAT THE PROPERTY WAS PURCHASED IN 2023, AND IT WAS PURCHASED BECAUSE WE KNOW WE'RE GOING TO BE HAVING A NEED FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT PROPERTY.

THE PROPERTY AND THE FACILITY NOW WE ARE ACTUALLY IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING OUR CONTROL BUILDING.

AND WITH THAT PROJECT THE SOUTH FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT ACTUALLY REQUESTED THAT WE UPDATE OUR STORMWATER DRAINAGE.

SO AS PART OF THAT SOME OF THE LAND SPACE THAT WE HAVE WILL BE TAKEN UP BY THAT STORM WATER EFFORT.

WE ARE ALSO WANTING TO MEET NEW AND RAPIDLY CHANGING REGULATIONS SET BY EPA AND THE FDEP.

SO, AS YOU KNOW, THERE ARE SEVERAL NEW REGULATIONS COMING DOWN THE PIKE, AND WE JUST WANT TO PLAN AHEAD AND ALSO PLAN FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT IN THE FUTURE.

YOU KNOW, FOR POPULATION GROWTH WITHIN THE CITY AND SUCH.

SO THERE ARE SEVERAL POTENTIAL IMPROVEMENTS THAT WE ARE LOOKING AT.

OUR FILTRATION SYSTEM RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE A LITTLE OVER 8 MILLION GALLONS.

AND, YOU KNOW, FUTURE DEVELOPMENT WILL REQUIRE US TO ACTUALLY INCREASE THAT CAPACITY.

SO WE'RE LOOKING AT FILTRATION SYSTEMS. WE'RE LOOKING AT ADVANCED WATER TREATMENT TECHNOLOGIES, WHICH WILL AID US IN, YOU KNOW, PRETTY

MUCH, YOU KNOW, GETTING ALL THE ALL THE REGULATIONS THAT'S COME IN.

WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO MEET THOSE REGULATIONS.

IN THE FUTURE, IF YOU KNOW, WE WILL NEED THAT CAPACITY AS WELL.
